YellowDogMo
I have located a virtual cache and answered the questions required before I can log it. I understand with the holiday weekend everybody is probably catching up today. So how long is an appropriate time to wait for a response before I log it? Quote Link to comment
+sbell111
In most cases, you can log it immediately. With very few exceptions, I email the answers and the immediately log the finds. Most virt owners do not request that you wait for a response. If you're sure that you made the find, log it. Quote Link to comment
Keystone
sbell111's advice summarizes the "community standard." For my more verbose version, see this post in the Frequently Asked Questions topic that's pinned at the top of the "Getting Started" forum. Quote Link to comment
+Team GPSaxophone
I haven't logged a virt in awhile, but when I did I would post my log and send an email to the cache owner within a few seconds of each other. Never got a complaint from virt owners. If there is a problem with your email, you can discuss it with the owner. If you ended up not getting the required info, the find can always be changed to a note. It doesn't hurt anyone to have the find posted while it's being verified. Quote Link to comment
