+bluenoser613
Hey, I have a new eXplorist 600 but it came with only the "basic" manual that refers to a "reference" manual that is knowwhere to be found on the CD or in the box. I'm wondering what the difference is when the cable is attached up or down. USB doesn't see to work when it's mounted up. Cheers! Bluenoser613 Quote Link to comment
+embra
The reference manual should have been on the CD...but it's not very useful (only 24 pages). There's a 100+ User's Guide that you can download from the Magellan site (eh...I just took a look to try and link to it...not seeing it. Someone did post a link in an earlier thread). To your question: well, you seem to have answered it yourself. You are supposed to have it in the down position. It will operate on power if up, but not transfer data. We haven't quite figured out why they made it reversable like that; so far it only seems to confuse people who make the wrong guess. Quote Link to comment
+Hard Oiler
Here's the link to the 123 page reference manual. For the 500 just change the 600 to 500 although they are basically the same. http://www.magellangps.com/assets/manuals/...orist600_EN.pdf Quote Link to comment
