+Bartongang
Hi everyone.... We (the three kiddies and me) are VERY new, but entirely loving this 'sport'. We actually tried a couple of hunts without GPS (due unfortunately to financial constraints....) but after a fair amount of frustration.... we found a Lowrance iFinder at a local pawnshop. The problem is, (and I know we don't NEED maps) the unit came with a U.S. database.... Like I said..... I know we don't need maps, but, as this unit does support them I was just hoping!!!! Does anyone know where we might be able to locate mapping for Canada that isn't going to break the bank???? Thanks very much folks... 'the bartongang' Quote Link to comment
+PDOP's
The only mapping you can use in your Ifinder is produced by Lowrance. Don't feel bad as it's the same for all the other brands too each of which have their own proprietary maps that can't be uploaded to any other brand of GPS. Lowrance maps are carried by GPSCentral.ca and GPSCity.ca as well as many other vendors. You'll have to buy the Lowrance branded card reader too to upload the maps. Quote Link to comment
