+2Rad4U
If I'm headed on vacation, say 200 miles away, whats the best way to find out if there are any caches on my way? Quote Link to comment

+WARedBear
I probably do it the hard way. Say I am goiing to travel down I-XY or Hwy-XY. ..I will go to geocaching.com and click on the state I will be traveling through...say Idaho. I pick the state map and then zoom in on the road of travel and look for caches along the way. I will pick and choose caches that meet the criteria for the trip. If I am trying to get from point A to point B then I might stick to rest area caches only. If I have some extra time I will pick-up the caches that are along the side roads. I also look at the D/T ratings and pick the easy ones and I only pick regular caches. I don't have time for multi caches. I also will spend time reading the logs of the cachers who have found the cache to see if it is easy or hard and how many DNF's are listed. This will determine what caches make the final cut. Hope this helps. Quote Link to comment
