+SilverMarc
I recently had two "finds" deleted (they become "archived" so I can still read them). Will my number of "finds" be reduced? I suspect yes, but I can't seem to figure out why it doesn't seem like my number has changed... --Marc April 4, 2005 @ 10:44 PM N40° 46.565' W073° 58.756' Quote Link to comment
+Hemlock
Yes your count will be reduced. However due to caching on the webservers it may not show up for a few minutes. Also, the count next to your name on other logs won't change until that cache is updated or logged again. Quote Link to comment
AZcachemeister
Looks to me as if there is some confusion between 'The cache was archived' and 'My log was deleted from the cache page'. If the cache is archived, you (and everyone else who found it) keep the smiley. If you (or the cache owner) delete your log for the cache, it's as if you were never there. You loose the smiley and your find count drops. I vaguely recall there is a seldom used level of archival where the cache is completely removed from the system, but I could be wrong about that.
