+Sanruft
Is there anybody planning on cahing while attending NAB next month? I ran into several cachers last year and we discussed maybe getting together one evening for some caching and socializing. I will be attending again this year and thought it might be fun to hook-up with some other cachers going in for the show. (And some locals as well!) Quote Link to comment
+ShowStop
I tried to cache while I was in Vegas for the LDI show in October. That didn't work too well. I ended up sitting at the blackjack table when I wasn't at the booth. Quote Link to comment

+Nazgul
I did a little caching while there a few months ago for a large company event. I couldn't get away to much more than some of the strip caches (almost all virtuals) until the last afternoon I was there when I made a dash to the AZ border then up to the UT border for some caches and sightseeing. If you're into benchmarks, be sure to visit Hoover Dam which has about twenty(!) plus a virtual cache as well. Just load up on the benchmark info before you go so you know what to look for and where. The tour was also interesting, it ate up a little of my caching time but was worth it. Have fun! Quote Link to comment
+geodarts
I was in Las Vegas last July for the Darts Tournament. I loved some of the caches around Red Rock Canyon (very near Las Vegas) and Valley of Fire. Red Rock in particular is very near to the city and was a lot of fun. It was far better than the casinos. +Moose Mob
You can also visit NGA site and post your visits. Perhaps you can join us on a group caching tour! Quote Link to comment

+Moose Mob
So... just what is NAB anyways? I would have thought it was Nellis Air Base, but that doesn't seem to fit. There are thousands of conferences here every year, can't seem to keep track of them. Quote Link to comment
+ShowStop
NAB stands for National Association of Broadcasters. The show deals with just about every form of media out there from TV, to radio, film studio, etc. They have products there dealing with TV Lighting, radio broadcast transmitters, filming equipment, and all sorts of other stuff. More info here: http://www.nabshow.com/ Quote Link to comment

Last year, I ran into at least 7 or 8 different cachers in the evenings there for the show, and a few of them though it would be fun to all get together one evening. (Or two...or three...) I will be with two other cahcers at the show and think it would be fun to all meet for some caching! Quote Link to comment
+AtlantaGal
While in LV in October, we hit about 10 caches at Red Rock Canyon. Only ended up doing one virt on the strip. We're headed back to LV tomorrow and plan to cache in the Lake Mead area and hopefully get over the border to AZ also. Quote Link to comment
