Cheap Mapping Gps?

What is the cheapest and best route I can go for a gps unit with pc connectivity? I was looking at some Magellan eXplorist models, but can't tell if they connect or not.

AList

The current models of eXplorist do not connect to a PC. Upcoming models do, but they are no longer in the cheap category.

The eTrex Legend is probably the cheapest mapping GPS going. You can get it for around $130 if you shop around. Its a nice unit. Very compact and easy to use. If you aren't interested in mapping, the basic yellow eTrex sells for $89 and can connect to a PC. One thing to consider with the basic eTrex is that the PC cable is $30 and does not come with the unit. The cable is included with the Legend, so once you add that in they are similar in price, which makes the Legend a far better deal.
