+Sarg863
any relationship of low battery and a decrease in accuracy? I am not sure but while caching last weekend the GPSr seemed to be a little less accurate when the batteries were getting low. I had pretty good accuracy according to the GPSr but was wondering if anyone had any experience with this kind of thing. Link to comment
peter
I tested both my eMap and III+ for any such correlation. I took a set of new alkalines (voltage of 1.55 V/cell) and a set of almost discharged NiMHs (voltage of about 0.95 V/cell) and repeatedly switched back and forth between the two sets to see if there was a consistent difference in satellites received, signal strength, or position wander. I wasn't able to see any consistent pattern. The receivers worked just as well with the almost dead batteries as they did with the fresh ones. Link to comment
