+AuntieWeasel
It's a cache set up to be a quick and easy place to pick up and drop off Travel Bugs. Usually easy access, near a major highway, and often near an airport or other travel nexus. Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
Typically a location with easy access, near high-traffic areas (airports, reststops, etc) and a container large enough to hold several bugs. Edit: dang, too slow! Edited February 10, 2005 by BlueDeuce Quote Link to comment

carpet123
How about a Jeep travel bug? What is that? Many thanks, I appreciate your help. Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
They were part of a contest that ended last year. Now they're just a Travel bug that when logged will give you another/new "Stat Icon" on your stats page. (separate from the normal TB stat.) +cache_test_dummies
Here is a picture of a few Yellow Jeeps which somebody took at one of my caches last summer, if you are interested in seeing what they look like. Unfortunately, most of the YJTBs (as they are frequently referred to here in the forums) have disappeared from circulation. Quote Link to comment
+Nurse Dave
Hey a note about TB hotels. Some people will put rules on theirs such as there have to always be 3 TBs in the cache. If you do that you are turning it into a potential TB prison which people do not like. i.e. Someone finds your cache, there is a TB in it that they can help towards its goal, but they don't have a TB and it just has to sit there. Just something to think about if you're going to place one. Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
They are specialized TBs that are personalized to represent a cacher or geocaching state. Unfortunately they tend to disappear quickly, almost as fast as YJTBs. Just anticipating your question about geocoins. I'm teasing! Keep'em coming. Quote Link to comment
+Sagefox
What is a travel bug hotel??Thanks They are places where when the cache gets muggled 10 people lose their travel bugs simultaneously. All that hard work - all those hopes and dreams. Vanished! Quote Link to comment

+Tonsil
They are places where when the cache gets muggled 10 people lose their travel bugs simultaneously. All that hard work - all those hopes and dreams. Vanished! This brings up a very important point. If you are planning to hide a Travel Bug Hotel, make every effort to hide it so that it will not easily be muggled! I cannot overstate how important that is. To facilitate easy transportation, typically a TB hotel is near a major interstate or airport. That does not mean that it should be sitting in plain view, or in an area likely to be cleaned up. A number of recent TB hotels have been lost because of this, and sadly, the bugs they contained are gone. It's nice to help people move their bugs along, but not if you're risking them in the process. If you find a TB hotel, make sure you hide it at least as well as you found it. Ideally they should be in a place where they can be visited unseen. Granted, all caches run the risk of being muggled, and TBs lost. However, when you advertise your cache as a TB hotel, you are expecting multiple bugs to be in there at any given point in time. Edited February 15, 2005 by Tonsil Quote Link to comment
+mortaine
Also re: TB hotels near airports. Since airports are CONSTANTLY under construction, you need to check up on your hotel periodically and make sure there isn't a planned human hotel about to go up. You don't want the TBs to end up buried underneath Yet Another Hilton. Quote Link to comment
