Entering coordinates on Magellan Meridian

I don't have a manual and can't figure out how to enter the coordinates. Can somebody tell me how to enter lat/lon coordinates on my Meridian GPS?

Go get the manual.

I can't help you with instructions as I don't own the meridian. But if you need a manual, you can download it from magellan at the site above.

Although this should probably be in the "GPS Units and software" forum, while you're downloading the manual, I'll give a quick tutorial.

 

Press and hold GOTO.

 

The "Mark" screen will come up. The default is to mark a waypoint with your current coordinated, but this isn't what you want, so...

 

Cursor until the coordinates box is highlighted, hit enter, and change the coordinates to whatever you want.

 

You can also change the name of the waypoint and the icon on this screen.

 

When you're done, highlight and select "save" on the bottom of the screen.

I had a similar problem when I first got my Magellan. The owner's manual is on a disc and I was, and some say still am, computer illiterate. I called 1-800-669-4477 and the very nice people at Magellan talked me through the procedure and sent me a printed copy of the owner's manual. I received it in just 2 or 3 days.
