Rogue_monkey
Will a Handspring Visor Pro work for going paperless . Is there enough memory (Its has the extra memory card in it)?, will the programs work on it? And yes it has the cable to link between the PDA and a PC here is a link to amazon.com tech sheet for it, (don't worry about the price i'm gettin it some where else) PDA tech data sheet Also what programs should I use on it and the my PC for the cache pages. I have no idea how all this works together so any info would be great. Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
TresOkies
The visor should work just fine. It's effectively the same as a Palm Vx and there are lots of people using those. There are lots of threads in this forum about using the Palm to go paperless. Just browse through the forum topics. Some of the names you will need to know are CacheMate, Plucker, GPX Spinner, and GSAK. Also, check out geocacher-u.com for articles on paperless caching. good luck! Quote Link to comment

Sputnik 57
I highly recommend GSAK on your PC and Cachmate on your Visor Quote Link to comment
NightPilot
Well, there's no law that says you have to decide. I run both Plucker and Cachemate on my Palm, for various reasons. You can, too, if you want. The cache police will allow it. If you do decide to use Plucker, I recommend using Sunrise desktop instead of the Plucker desktop. It's easier to set up, and works a lot faster. You still use the standard Plucker viewer on the Palm. Quote Link to comment
Byron & Anne
I highly recommend GSAK on your PC and Cachmate on your Visor That's exactly what I do. I also have the Magellan GPS Companion attached to the Visor Pro. I purchased a new PDA now my Visor is not used for anything else except GPS functions, mostly geocaching. Since Cachemate now has a gps function, that's what I use most of the time. GSAK on the computer. Works great for me. Quote Link to comment
