Deleting City Select Maps?

Not sure about this, but try going to MapSource, select no maps, and D/L them to your GPSr. I know that the GPSr replaces maps with the latest download, and then uses the base map to fill in the blanks. If you download the nul set, it should default to the base map. Alternatively select a map in Nowheresville, NE to download. You get the base map for your area.

Out of curiousity, why are you trying to do this?

A master reset will NOT restore the original POI Database or any Map data. If anything, a Master Reset would cause the LOSS of map data, but probably wouldn't. But it might cause the loss of waypoints, tracks and other user data.

To restore the original POI Database (without any user data loss), go to the GPSMAP 76C Software Updates Page. Look for the link on the right side of the page under "Download Preloaded POI Database for GPSmap 76C"

"If MapSource data is loaded to this unit, this unit's preloaded POI database will be erased. Please download the file below if you wish to recover this POI database.

Download (3.93 MB) "

In other words, when you uploaded City Select v6 maps to the GPSr, the POI Database was erased. To erase the City Select v6 maps and restore the original POI Database, download the file and run the application.
