Mapsource products that require an unlock code, your purchase includes the ability to unlock the maps for a second GPS unit. Go to your Garmin folder and find the Mapsource Unlock Wizard and it will walk you through the process. Quote Link to comment

The ones used most with an eTrex Legend (not the new Legend C) are Roads & Rec, MetroGuide, and Topo. These don't have any unlock codes or other anti-piracy provisions and can be used on other Garmin GPS units. However, if you buy a new unit you may want to upgrade to MapSource City Select since that supports the auto-routing feature of the newer models. [MetroGuide-USA v4.01 does as well but the routing isn't usually as good.] Quote Link to comment
