Heh! Got your attention. Actually, I'm torn between two units. I got the Etrex Legend on eBay. I'm wondering if it was worth it. It doesn't have the street detail I had hoped for. That would cost more. And even if I did, I'm having the darndest time getting a good signal in my Honda Accord. The Legend doesn't have the capabilities of adding an antenna. So, shall I just assume that I won't be able to use this for street navigation and just downgrade to the yellow etrex and use it solely for geocaching? So, I'm torn. Shall I keep the Legend and buy (or be gifted) the street detail software. Or shall I sale it back on ebay and get the yellow unit??? Scott

If I decide on using a better GPS unit than the Etrex Legend, may I use my MapSource street detail on the new unit or must I purchase a whole Mapsource program?

I need advice on my new Etrex Legend. Best map software with street level detail. I don't care for all the "points of interests" such as restaurants. I just want a detailed street level map with street names only. Reason, I live in Houston... BIG CITY buy I only have 8mb space to load. Power adapter for the car. By any chance does this improve my reception by having a consistantly full charge? Back light? If I got the power adapter for the car, is there any way to have the light stay on? Preference for mounting GPS in car? Velcro? Dash mount? Vent mount?

It doesn't hurt to ask... but is there anybody out there interested in selling me a Garmin ETrex Legend for $100.00? I know this is low but thats really all I can afford right now. I know Camping World was mentioned as having some but these are all sold out. I've found a couple of geocaches with my brother's Garmin V but for some reason, he won't let me keep it forever... I did some shopping and feel that the Garmin ETrex Legend is as close to the Garmin V that I'm going to get. It has the basemaps plus I can do street detail if I want.
