+Ptarmigan
Has anyone found a way to check available memory on your 60CS. I have checked the manual - nothing. Did a quick search and I found nothing on Groundspeak or from Garmin... Anyone found a way to check memory left on the unit? Quote Link to comment
Neo_Geo
Memory for what...? ...Maps? ...Tracklog? ...Waypoints? For maps, there is no "meter" on the GPSr. You use MapSource to view how much map data you're loading to the unit when you select the map sets. Look at the bottom of the "Maps" tab. If you wanna know how much is in there now, hook up your GPSr and download the map data into MapSource. It won't take long going from GPSr to computer as the GPSr will simply send a list of map sets - it won't need to send all of the map data back to the computer. For the tracklog, Press "Menu" | "Menu" - select "Tracks" There will be a meter showing a percentage of tracklog memory used. Waypoints: you get 1,000 of them. Count how many you have and subtract from 1,000 Quote Link to comment
+DBleess
lol, yeah that's about it on the waypoint count, maybe a future firmware revision will address this. My old Garmin 48 would tell you filled/empty information for waypoints. For now, I let easygps count for me: Download your waypoints into a easygps file. The number of waypoints is listed as it counts them into the software from the GPS. Quote Link to comment
+jotne
Or you can download waypoints to MapSource and easy see how many waypoints you have. Quote Link to comment
