No I haven't tried the upgrade as it doesn't mention this issue. I was trying to find out if its the same issue as this topic or something different. As for the upgrade, its still in Beta, and was going to wait a few day before updating. I'll be watching for feed back from others.

I'm also having trouble with lockups - but not in tracking mode but using the 60CS in the car under external pwr. My lockup happens when powered by external pwr. This happens in both cars, after driving for 5-10 mins and I am viewing the map screen, it powers down and freezes. The on/off button does not work, but after removing the cig. adptr for 10 seconds, everything powers up. If I'm using batteries - never happens. Anyone else have the same issue?

Has anyone found a way to check available memory on your 60CS. I have checked the manual - nothing. Did a quick search and I found nothing on Groundspeak or from Garmin... Anyone found a way to check memory left on the unit?

Annie - I had the same problem with mine on the Cave Springs tour day. I just quit and I could not turn it on... I ended up removing the batteries, leaving it sit for 5 mins, put in new batteries and has worked ever since. I have gone back and used the same batteries later and no problem... I tried the same thing as you to start ... hold button for 1 sec, nothing.. 2 seconds nothing etc... I still have that uneasy feeling that it won't turn on - but all Ok now

Looking at my 60cs I noticed airport symbol is being used for hospitals and going back to mapsource I find the same. Is there a way to change the symbol to a Hospital symbol?

I've been using MG4 now for 6 weeks and love it. It has a few "glitches" I have found ie: it still thinks you can get on the 407 West from southbound Winston Churchill. This was changed last summer - I have sent this change to Garmin. Some parts of the new 407 Hwy it can't lock onto.... I suspect the next version that will be corrected. One issue in the database is miss spelled city names... it has Mississauga in there 3 different ways and if you select the wrong one, you won't find your street. Took a while to figure that one out. Anyways - great tool and the next version will be better yet... KEEP SENDING IN YOUR CORRECTIONS

Yes - its been calibrated.

To the question - how close? as soon as I got out the car it was 1.3 kms away, it was pointing the wrong direction then. The trail marker was the other direction and once I started I notice the distance reducing and I kept going. Once I got to about 100 meters... it swung to point in the correct direction, but then it was not stable so that I could find the cache. PS: I handed the unit off to someone else thinking I may have a magnetic issue - same results.

I've been using the bearing pointer for the last few weeks, but after updating firmware - noticed this issue and wondered if anyone else may having the same problem.

The last couple of days when caching my bearing arrow is showing the total opposite direction than the cache? As you walk against the arrow, you are getting closer to the cache. ( in meters or feet. ) Any ideas on what's happening ? Is there a option I could check ? Thanks

ClydeE - love the software and use it all the time. Is there a way to filter distance between to variables? ie: give all the caches between 10kms and 25kms. Or using greater than 10km but less than 25kms ? If not, it might be something to add in next rels. Thanks

Well I received my Strong protectors last night and installed one after removing my Fellows protector. BOY what a differance Very happy with the difference and a quarter of the price. Great information on this forum - Thanks

I have been using it for over a month and totally amazed at the detail. I have even used it on the GO Train in Toronto and it has every track including connectors, small streams, etc. Another very useful feature - if you are not navigating is it tells you all the side streets, rivers, roads you are coming up to - 1 block before... even in small towns !! For Geocaching - use the road function to get close to cache, then switch to geocaching mode... GREAT SOFTWARE - Highly recommend

Looks like we are hold for one more week ... for the 60CS At least the rescheduled dates are getting smaller ie: in January it went to the end of Feb. (4 weeks ). Now in mid Feb it goes 1 more week.... into March

Just checked with Radioworld Canada and they are still expecting first delivery the first week of Feb. In talking to the contact they had a unit at the Boat Show last week. I'm in the top 10 on the list, so hopefully in the next couple of weeks I can start a new hobby.

Has anyone heard of the delivery date for the 60cs ? I just got a email from GPSCity on a price quote as well as a note that Garwin and changed the delivery date to April 04
