g29115
Hey all, been playing with my new 60cs. I've noticed that when I am using the compass I never seem to get a bearing reading. Any ideas of what might be causing this? Any help appreciated. G. Quote Link to comment
+Smogman
First you must designate a cache or waypoint for the GPS to know which way to point you. You must enter manually or download waypoint to the GPS, and then press the find key on the upper left of the key pad, it will come up with waypoint and Geocache icon, at this point highlight and press enter on either one highlight the appropriate waypoint, and press enter it will then go to the "Go To" page press enter and away you go. Vlad
keep in mind that the outer ring of the compass rotates and that you will never see an arrow there unless you are navigating to a waypoint or other point of interest. by observing the outer ring and it's position relative to top center of the display you can figure out your bearing. the pointer arrow is only visible on the compass page when navigating to a waypoint, following a track or route or other guidance info.
