Computerdood Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 Hey Geocachers, I have about 6 New In Box Streets and Trips 2002 software. I have loaded the full version, and it takes about 900Megs on a Windows Box. It has latest details, although it is 2 years old. It will update from the Web, so you can plan routes, zoom, print maps, etc. Looking to get $20.00 shipped. It states it is GPS/NMEA compatible. Will test it as soon as I can hook up my laptop. (COM1/2 Ports). This was shipped to an educational environment. Posting here before Ebay sale. The 2003 version is about $30.00+tax on Internet (cheapest is about $27.00). Here is a review: http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/4505-3514_16-...tml?legacy=cnet

I would suggest donating them to a local school, and taking the tax credit, or sell them for less than $20.00. Just a thought
Computerdood Posted July 10, 2004 Author Posted July 10, 2004 Thanks, I had no idea...I will contact the owner, and let them know. Do you think people would buy them for $10.00 shipped? Someone stated the bought it for $20, with $10.00 rebate...so figure if $10 bucks puts in in your hands. This is to benefit a Boys and Girls club, so just trying to max out the sale. Not trying to personally benefit.
+Cherokeecacher Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 heck....if it is benifitting a youth activity, get every penny you can for them. If I did not have 2004 I would buy one at almost any price to help kids. Good luck, and thanks for trying to help kids.
Computerdood Posted July 12, 2004 Author Posted July 12, 2004 I posted this also on GPS and Software...Would $10.00 shipped interest anyone. These are really just sitting around..I am not making a pitiful plea..I do consulting (paid) for Boys and Girls club. I wanted to try and benefit GPS users. Trying to see if this would make poor man's (well??) Navigation system. Please no flames...just trying to help out the group!!
+Cherokeecacher Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 My apologies if my posts came across as “flames”. That was not the intention. I too work with children/youth nonprofits, and like I said, “Get every penny you can for them”. Let me check some things around here, and I may purchase them and donate to a local group. Do not turn down another offer waiting on me, it may take a day or so to confirm if any of the groups I have in mind can actually use them in any way.
Computerdood Posted July 21, 2004 Author Posted July 21, 2004 Sorry, haven't been on site in a while....After the Cheaper at Costco comment, I figured no one would be interested...found out that I was not allowed to RESELL them, due to some Microsoft Educational Agreement. I posted some on Ebay, and had to recant the sale...Ended up gifting a couple of buyers. I don't have the software, otherwise would make the same deal. Like I said, not trying to get pity, A youth organization had EXTRA software. Sorry for the mixup...I wasn't told until after the posting. My apologies. Computerdood
