What Kind Of Piracy Protection Does Tomtom Use?
ahren replied to ahren's topic in GPS technology and devices
why not? because first of all i will have to go to their site and wade through their bulls*** to find the email address. then i'll write the email to them, get an automated reply that says, hey, we'll reply within 3-5 business days... so why not just post here and ask? it's not like i'm trying to do something illegal, i just don't want to buy a piece of software off ebay and not be able to use it. -
I found someone that will sell me their legit copy of tom tom, Am I going to run into activation issues at all? I know that one program only allows one activation every 6 months.... let me know please!

Anyone know? i cant seem to find a version number on their website... Anyone have the current version?

THinking about Fugawi.... cause it has maps of central america... anyone try this one out? Is there any program that would let me use Garmin Mapsource on my Ipaq? that would be ideal. ahren

Ok, i gotta get rid of this thing so i can get a plane ticket to central america. I paid $225 and will let it go for $200 + shipping. I also have a bunch of mapsource software for it, including, Topo's for the whole usa, roads & rec (us AND canada), waterways and lights, world map, enhanced basemap for canada, these will all be included... please email me for details on anything. You get all the map software, etrex vista in great shape, serial cable to hook up to computer, manual, and even a car charger... geo@ahreno.com

the top part is scratched... totally unrecoverable. -
I'm going to be getting a Ipaq and was thinking about going with this software as it seems to be the only way to get a map of central america ($66)> I only have looked briefly at the demo that's out. If anyone has or has used the full version, i'd love to hear your opinions... ahren

Anyone have any? I'm getting a Ipaq and will have a gps unit for it. Would be nice to have topo's of central america but basically roads and cities is fine. Obviously the more detail the better. I know garmin only has world map which doesnt have many of the cities. Anyone have any ideas?
