trees&needles
I just bought a new SporTrak Map Magellan GPS and I can't figure out how to download waypoints. I've downloaded the software EasyGPS onto my computer and I can bring files to that point but can't figure out how to get them to the GPS. Any help would be appreciated. Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
I'm going to assume that you have plugged in your GPS to the computer into a serial port. From there you need to get EasyGPS to recognize your GPS. I just realized that I don't have EasyGPS at work so I can't tell you where to look. But you do need to configre EAsyGPS so it knows what it's talking to and on what serial port these communications will take place on. Quote Link to comment
CoyoteRed
What is it doing? Have you made sure the data speeds are the same in the program and the unit? Have you turned off NEMA? Quote Link to comment
+Team Rand
In EasyGPS go to File then Preferences and then Add GPS. You can then add your Magellan Sportrak and then set to 4800 baud and the com port you are connected to. Make sure the Sportrak is set at the same baud rate. Quote Link to comment
trees&needles
I added the gps at the preferences and got it to work. Thanks for the help. I'm really looking forward to using it. Quote Link to comment
