+Mud Puppy
Hi all. I'm a newbie living in Vernon BC (North of Kelowna in the Okanagan). I was wondering if it is at all common to place a cache in locations normally only accessable by bike, quad, or 4x4. You could, of course, hike in, but typicially you would be looking at a 10 km hike from where the road becomes impassable to cars. Quote Link to comment
+FarSideX
There are many caches that require more then a 10km hike. Just don't expect it to get visited often. Personally I don't think there are enough of this type. Even better are 10km caches that you can ONLY hike to. Quote Link to comment
+Mud Puppy
In this case the hike would certainly be worth it, but it's 10 kms all UPHILL. Edited May 15, 2004 by Chris S Quote Link to comment
+geoSquid
I put a cache here, but it doesn't get visited often: The cache is located just left of the big circular thing in the lower right. Seriously though, I agree that some major hike caches have the potential to be very cool. Quote Link to comment

I'd like to see you express THAT in N/W coordinates Edited May 17, 2004 by Chris S Quote Link to comment
+geoSquid
I guess it would be considered difficulty 5 "special equipment required" Quote Link to comment
