rockwellcm
I went to order some Geocache stickers for my proposed cache site. Now i ordered some stuff a few weeks ago,and postage was OK,but at the time i thought it was a bit pricy But for 2 stickers it was going to be £3.75 more than the price of the stickers I sent an enquiry e-mail,but no reply Come on lets see a reply here??? +MarcB
I think it's due to recorded delivery having to be used (lots of packages have gone missing). ? MarcB Quote Link to comment
+Pengy&Tigger
I think this may be because everything is sent out by recorded delivery, which is a fixed charge. Maybe you could ask by email to be quoted on normal delivery, as I imagine the cost of the stickers does not warrant recorded delivery. Pengy & Tigger Quote Link to comment
NeilFord
Mark (The Cat) has a lot going on at the moment, so give him some time to respond to your email. If you haven't already done so, check the GeocacheUK forums for a post from Mark explaining a number of things. - Neil. Quote Link to comment

+Grant Clan
You could always buy from : http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk/ it would only cost £2.95 with them and I think you'll find the stickers may be cheaper. They specialise in the hardware but do support geocaching. Quote Link to comment

+Birders
Looks like 6 of one, half a dozen of the rest.. I tried several items with different suppliers and they came out to within a pound or so on a bill of £25. Of course, as with everything else, prices across the pond are lower. For example: Coloured patch USA $2.99 (£1.66) - over here £2.97 TBs. USA 8 for $34 (£18.96) over here 5 for £17.89 Large cache sticker USA $1.99 (£1.11) over here £1.89 Edited May 5, 2004 by Birders Quote Link to comment
NeilFord
Don't forget prices in the US will be exclusive os sales tax, whilst UK prices will be inclusive of VAT. Also if they have been importeed legally they will have had duty levied by Customs and Excise. And to keep stock, suppliers need to purchase stuff in advance and therefore you can't really apply todays favourable exchange rate as a comparison. I'm not saying price hiking doesn't happen, but the subject is a lot more complex than it first appears. - Neil. Quote Link to comment
