Boromir Posted May 2, 2004 Share Posted May 2, 2004 Today I found myself standing where my GPSr said the cache was about 1m away, and sure enough it was. The amazing thing is it happened again on another cache today as well. I think WAAS is to blame for this precision. I had a WAAS signal, and I assume the placer did as well. Compared to my pre-WAAS geocaching days this is amazing. Of course unless you know the placer had the same level of accuracy you can't count on the cache being as close as the GPSr says. Between this and my good results at a Canadian Base Network marker I think WAAS is working fine up here around Edmonton. Quote Link to comment
