+DavidMac
While viewing the onsite maps, I've noticed lately that I occasionally get a 'blank' map that has all map data, but no caches, find checkmarks, TBs, etc. It only happens at certain zoom levels. and regardless of which boxes are checked. The white numbered circles which identify caches still show up, however. If I get a bare map, I can pan around at the same zoom level without the icons reappearing. Even stranger, sometimes my find checkmarks are incomplete, as shown below. Obviously I am logged in if I can pan or zoom. What gives? drawing a blank... I'm supposed to have 150+ more checkmarks here. Link to comment
Jeremy
I believe there may be a memory problem with the maps, and they're having difficulty generating so many images on the same page. I plan to simplify the drawn icons for larger zoom sizes so it can draw faster and doesn't end up blank. Link to comment
+DavidMac
Ah, so it wasn't just me... I'm guessing by simplify you mean smaller, simpler icons, something like a colored dot? I'd like that- it would probably also help to reduce clutter while zoomed out, too. Link to comment
Jeremy
You got it. Colored dots make more sense anyway when you're zoomed out. At this point it just looks like an icon collage. Link to comment

I would have said "Icon Mosaic" Maybe at the right zoom level in the right area we could see icon versions of 'cloud bunnies' Link to comment
+TerraTrekkers
Are the maps not working? Link to comment
+beejay&esskay
Are the maps not working? My experience is that the maps are working, usually. Sometimes I get the missing cache icons. (Or, I guess, don't get them). Changing zoom level frequently makes them appear. Or panning. None of these missing icons are permanently missing. And Jeremy is working on changes. So I just grin and bear it. Link to comment
+TerraTrekkers
I have not used them for sometime but they used to work just for me. Now I get nothing, no maps no icons nothing. Link to comment
Jeremy
I was working with the maps this evening. They should be running fine now. Link to comment

Jeremy
See this post. Because of some outdated names our map server provider is looking at the data again. Link to comment

+beejay&esskay
If Stuey is still in Devon England, he probably is still using pounds... Might not even know what a Euro is... Link to comment
Jeremy
If England, you have to pay the Queen a royal sum to use their ordinance survey maps. Then it is 40,000 pounds annually. Link to comment
