I like "cheap" caches -- it's the travelling, not the arrival; the seeking, not the finding. I took my first find and made it a travelling treasure. More interesting to see where it goes than having it sitting here in my study. But, shoot liz. Just go for it! I guarantee that whatever you find, the whole deal will be worth it!
