+blindleader
Lostoutdoors.com isn't going to help you much in the Midlands where you live. The USGS hasn't mapped much of the UK yet. Try posting in the UK forum. My guess is that Ordnance Survey has a lot of stuff online but that it costs money. UK cachers will know. Quote Link to comment

+New England n00b
WaldenRun (WaldensRun?) in the New England forums has 1500+ finds... without a GPS! His avatar is even a gps with a NO circle on it! If anyone can help you with a map & compass hunt, it would be him... Good luck! Quote Link to comment
adrianjohn
Take a look at the Ordnance Survey website Look Here. If you look at the cache pages you will see an OS grid reference below the coordinates, for example TA12345 67890. Enter this on the Ordnance Survey page and you will get a map centered on the grid reference. You can then print or save the map for your own use. Hint if the cache page shows a British grid in this format TA 12345 678 add leading zeroes to the short part i.e. 00678. Have fun! Quote Link to comment
+Torry
I did my first few before I had a GPSr. Had some DNF's and a lot of time invested. The satellite shots were helpful. Quote Link to comment
