Heal The Hilltop

The Essex County (New Jersey) Hilltop Conservancy Group (this is a brand new volunteer organization) is hosting a CITO Event on May 1, 2004 @ 0900hrs. We have a rain date scheduled for May 2, 2004 also. The group is meeting on Fairview Avenue in Cedar Grove, NJ (follow the signs for the Reservation) The Hilltop Reservation was part of the Essex County Sanitarium. It is approximately 230 acres that is being transformed into a reservation, for recreational use. Our Hilltop Cleanup day will be aided by the Essex County Parks and Recreation Department. They will supply trucks and manpower to haul out any larger items. Please bring work gloves. We will supply some water and snacks. If anyone is intersted, I am thinking of placing a memorial cache for the CITO event. All geocachers who attend will be recognized for their efforts to help Mother Earth. I'm not a tree hugger, but we have to undo some of the damage that man has done to our environment, or there soon won't be much of a green earth left for those who come after us.
