+Old Fogies
We just recived an e-mail from a couple in South Carolina saying they had the same user name...Old Fogies. I helped a young man register by the name of fishboy. When I checked the profile another person was being described who lived in another state. This can get confusing. Should the geocache site allow this? Shouldn't we be told to pick new user names because one is already taken. I'm just glad we are located so far apart. Quote Link to comment
+Jamie Z
It is not allowed. The other users who have the name Old Fogies must spell it differently, or they use an under score (_) between them, or no space or something. The names cannot be identical. Old Fogies Old_Fogies OldFogies 0ld Fogies Old Fogeys Are all acceptable variants. Jamie Quote Link to comment
NESeakayaker
They actually have a different name as far as naming conventions goes...their name begins with "The" and your name does not have that in front of it. They are listed as - The Old Fogies Edited March 25, 2004 by NESeakayaker Quote Link to comment
+JeepCachr
The system will not allow duplicates. You can't ask someone to change their name just because its similar. Quote Link to comment
