Pirogoeth
Boy, it was a doozy! I probably shouldn't give away how it was hidden, as it was pretty clever, and I probably looked like an idiot looking through the brush for it, but I got it! Maybe I'll try for an easier one for my second! Quote Link to comment
Aksor+Raskol
Congrats on your FF! What a rush, huh? Which cache (waypoint) did you find? Welcome to the hobby/sport/addiction. Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
Good for you! On my first find I got within a couple hundred feet, so I left the trail and started bushwacking, only to find...the trail. Oh, so the trail continues around, hmmm I see. Now I try to survey the area to find the best approach before diving in. Have fun! Quote Link to comment
Pirogoeth
The cache was this one: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid={60EBF20F-975B-4262-A3A5-453FADD88E00} There wasn't even a trail. It was a roadside historical marker and the cache was literally ten feet from where I parked, but it took me about 20 minutes to find it! Quote Link to comment
Aksor+Raskol
Ok! And in my home state, too! Cool! Quote Link to comment
+smenzel
You're starting off far better than I did. My first 4-star (done with a friend before I even really started) was a disaster. I had no idea what we were doing. We visited the site several times and never did find the cache. Quote Link to comment

+Touchstone
Wow! Starting out on a 4 star is impressive. The Force must be strong with this one. I didn't try a 4 star until around my 50th find, and it took me two hours to find. But at least it was in a nice location. Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them. The rest go geocaching. Quote Link to comment
