+frefel
I am learning how to use the great CacheMate program on my Visor. There is an auto-set option that, when checked, supposedly moves the record to the "Found" catagory but I can't seem to make it do that. The documentation says that one needs to "save the record or perform any action that would save the state of the record view". What kind of action would I do to accomplish that after checking the Found box in the cache record? Quote Link to comment
+harleycache
On you PDA, touch Cachemate, thenOption, thenPreferences. Put a checkmark next to 'Auto-set category to Found'. That should do it. Quote Link to comment
+frefel
Thanks but; I did that, so I assumed that the cache wouldl then move into a "Found" catagory, separate from the rest of the listings, but in fact nothing happened. What is it supposed to do? Quote Link to comment
+NightPilot
What that option does is to move the cache to the Found category when you check the found box on the log page, so you don't have to go back to the Info page and change the category. With that option unchecked, if you check the found box on the log page, the cache stays in its original category. Quote Link to comment

What kind of action would I do to accomplish that after checking the Found box in the cache record? I'm just guessing, but I think you need to change the state of the record. Perhaps just unchecking and re-checking "found" would do it. I'm sure doing anything to the log would do it too. Quote Link to comment
+Maeglin
What kind of action would I do to accomplish that after checking the Found box in the cache record? - Tap the "Done" button, or... - Switch to another application There are other things that will cause that as well, but those are the most obvious ones. +frefel
Thanks; it's working now. I'd swear I did all those things to no avail before but the computer never lies. Quote Link to comment
