TheThunderbirds Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 I have 3 pocket queries defined. They only get delivered on a very irregular basis. I have changed them to be everyday, yet today I have NOT received any. and they could some from anytime through out the day or night. is there a way to "pick" a time for them to be run or can you check to see that they are delivered. I am waiting on my Las Vegas to arrive, since I fly out there tomorrow for a week and will not be able to download/sync waypoints. Thanks in advance, Shanep
pdxmarathonman Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 i think if you create a new one (you can have 5) it gets placed in a higher priority queue than a modified query that has already been generated once. or something like that. it's worth a try
Gary&Vicky Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 I posted a similiar question yesterday at 6:39 am. (see "Pocket Query Generator, Some queries are not answered"). The answer surprised me. Elias (self described "Groundspreak Lackey) was able to determine exactly when five query replies were sent from Groundspeak on 10/7/04. But the fact is...I only received 3 of those 5 replies. I should have received four replies yesterday but only got one and that one arrived at 10:47 PM. Good Luck. Gary
Markwell Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 Supposedly, they also have a factor of "when the last time this query was run" that somehow factors into the order. If you have a set of PQs to run every day, each successive day they get bumped lower into the order. What I did was set my PQs to run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and not at ALL on the weekends. I get my Monday one at about 6:30 a.m. CST, my Wednesday ones at about 8:30 a.m. CST and my Fridays at around 10:00 - 11:00 CST. Haven't missed one in four weeks and they come through like clockwork.
fivegallon Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 I've only been receiving PQ's for five weeks now,but the greatest time difference so far is only 14minutes over that time...guess thats pretty close to "clockwork"
