+SeaTrout
I have not submitted a new cache page in a while. I use to keep a test cache page(new, but immediately archived page) so that I could get my html working correctly then copy it over to a new page and submit it. When I now try to edit my archived(test) page it reverts back to its previous content. " You can use HTML in any of the description fields below with the exception of JavaScript and other embedded code. If you do supply html you will need to check the box below for the text to render correctly." HTML tags are not considered embedded code, are they ? How is everyone tweaking their pages before submitting them ? Thanks Seatrout Edited December 24, 2003 by SeaTrout Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
I use the time between submission and when it's approved to finalize any tweaks and check the maps for a gross mistake in the coordinates. I used to have a program for HTML but lost it somwhere. Quote Link to comment
+SeaTrout
Editing HTML tags are not a problem. I would like more time to tweak the page. My question is, Do archived pages need approval to be edited(saved)? They would be reviewed before resubmitting. Because admins also tweak the pages before releasing, they get upset if they are editing at the same time I am(happened to me before). +Hemlock
Approved & archived caches cannot be edited. Unapproved & archived caches are supposed to be editable, but some people are not able to. I am able to use my regular account and edit my own unapproved/archived cache. Yet others say they cannot. Must be a bug in the system. On a related note, if you DISABLE your cache just after you submit it, it is removed from the approval queue and the reviewers will not see it. Just make sure you remember to ENABLE it when you are done playing or it will never get approved Seatrout, if you email me the GC# of your cache, I'll unarchive and disable it for you so you can play to your heart's content. +Rusty & Libby
Only admins can edit archived cache pages, the change was made at or about the same time as the new cache submission procedures went into effect. There are several free HTML programs available online. If you don't want the cache approved or edited by the reviewer until you are done tweaking you can simply say so in a note to the approver. When you are ready just delete the note or leave another saying it is ready. Quote Link to comment
+SeaTrout
Thanks Guys, My new browser is not helping either, by prefetching and caching links to pages. I have to clear my cache after each edit, reloading doesn't seem to work all the time. Thanks again Seatrout Quote Link to comment
