+leatherman Posted December 23, 2003 Share Posted December 23, 2003 Has anyone noticed a difference of coord data transmission/reception do to different firmware versions? I have the latest version, I think ver 340. My friend had a 120 with the stock version. Which I do not know. I was in a building, 30 feet above the ground, with a window facing across a valley. He was in a vehicle driving in my general direction. At three miles I transmitted and within 15 seconds he received my coords. When he transmitted I didn't receive his coords for several minutes, and 1.6 miles closer. We checked all our settings. Nothing wrong or different there. Later the only difference I could think of was the firmware. Either he wasn't transmitting his coords or I wasn't receiving them. Firmware? Hardware? Quote Link to comment
