LowBFlat
I was trying to input a waypoint into my gps from a map on the web. I had the coordinates in decimal degrees but needed degrees with decimal minutes. So... Google to the rescue. I typed in the search words :convert latitide: on Google and it sent me to an FCC web page with a conversion program. Here's the link: http://www.fcc.gov/mb/audio/bickel/DDDMMSS-decimal.html Enjoy! Mike You could also try Waypoint Workbench if you have MS Excel. This converts a load of co-ordinates simultaneously. Quote Link to comment
+Prime Suspect
You probably could have done the math in less time than it took to look it up. Just multiply the fraction by 60. 26.54321 = 26° (.54321 × 60) = 26° 32.5926 Or simply changed the input setting on your GPS. Edited December 5, 2003 by Prime Suspect Quote Link to comment
+FarSideX
Or just enter the waypoint into your GPSr and change the mode it displays the coordinates in. Simple and no mess. Quote Link to comment
LowBFlat
Perhaps some of you could do the math faster than I... Quote Link to comment
