+WaldenRun
Hmmmm, no new caches in VT/MA/CT/RI since the 4th. Is that true in your area? I can't tell if we have slow cachers or slow approval. Not to say that our industrious approvers don't deserve a vacation week here or there. -WR "Besides physical caches, we have VIRTUal and VIRTUeless." Quote Link to comment
Keystone
The approval queue looks like this for New England as of this morning: CT: 1 event cache and 1 traditional cache pending approval MA: 1 cache on hold and 6 pending approval NH: 2 caches just submitted this morning RI: 1 cache on hold and 4 pending approval ME: Nothing pending VT: Nothing pending So there's ten or so caches for six states. Not so bad, following a holiday weekend. Be patient and some of them will show up soon, I'm sure. -------------------- Saving the day and approving all the caches... before bedtime! The site slow downs Jeremy mentioned in the announcements section affect the approvers same as every other cacher, maybe more, since we might load 5-10 pages while reviewing one cache. All those server busy messages made it very hard to review a cache. I think I counted over 800 new caches submitted this weekend, we're getting to them as fast as we can. Quote Link to comment
+woodsters
Holy Moly...800 for one weekend? Is that a norm? How many cahces already approved get archived compared to that I wonder. Also I know that not all 800 do not get approved, but that's still a lot...I noticed one day I saw over 58,000 caches on the main page...now there's over 59,000 and it was not a very long time in between. Thanks for the update KA. I guess what caught my attention was all the caches with higher ID numbers getting approved. Yes, the long queue was showing steady progress, but we were not among the lucky ones. Since your post, a MA cache from Sunday was approved. Figures it is 90 miles away and across the street from one I did that day! Not that instant approval would have helped in that case. -WR "Besides physical caches, we have VIRTUal and VIRTUeless."
