+flask Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 what i have learned is this: if you go back and check every twenty minutes for three days, your cache doesn't move any quicker through the queue. it doesn't matter if you get to camp at one or at six. dinner is still at six. Quote
+parkrrrr Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 That's just a restatement of your signature line. Quote
+flask Posted July 31, 2003 Author Posted July 31, 2003 the signature line was actually a piece af advice i got from a guy named dave who rides bicycles cross-country. he also left me power bars, duct tape, and a wire hanger. and speaking of signature lines, yours keeps popping into my head at the most inopportune moments, like when its beginning to pour and i can't find the ammo box and it's starting to get dark and all i can think of is your signature with a little light percussion backup; maybe a snare with brushes and a woodblock... it doesn't matter if you get to camp at one or at six. dinner is still at six. +parkrrrr Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 Which one of mine? I have 294,840 of them to choose from. Collect them all! Quote
bnolan Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 I always check every 10 minutes to see if my cahce has been approved. On my last hide, I checked at 10:45 pm and it had not been approved. After brushing my teeth I told my wife "I'm going to check one more time before I go to bed." As the page was loading I commented "I can't believe there is nobody approving caches at 11 at night." Then much to my suprise, I found that my cache had been approved. ____________________________________________________ I may be lost, but at least I am making good time. Quote
+Team GPSaxophone Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 My last one was approved in less than 20 minutes, even though my local approver was on vacation (due to a broken computer) Took sun from sky, left world in eternal darkness Quote

+flask Posted July 31, 2003 Author Posted July 31, 2003 it was, believe it or not, all taped to my door as a gesture of gratitude. odd, but endearing. he also left me with sage advice such as never test out a new energy bar on the road unles you don't mind green farts and always help push a tandem uphill, because you can draft them on the way down. it doesn't matter if you get to camp at one or at six. dinner is still at six. Team Kender Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 It's funny because it's true. I simply asked an approver a question earlier today and I'm checking my mail every 30 minutes. Can't we get these people beepers? hehehe Team Kender - "The Sun is coming up!" "No, the horizon is going down." Quote
