DadONine
Hey everyone, Hope all had a good weekend, I know I did. But I have a weird problem. I own 2 local caches, and this morning I got LOG emails telling me that a certain geocacher found both of them. However, he appears to have mixed up the logs. One is a micro in a small town park and he referred to taking a few squirts of the Deet that I left in there. I did leave some Deet, but it's in the OTHER cache. How do I get this squared away? Do I email him and have him edit his logs? Is there a way I can do it myself? Cornfused in Indiana, DadONine Quote Link to comment
The Irish Pirates
I would e-mail them and ask them to edit the logs. Since they can do it easily. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Cache me out dammit, I'm in a hurry! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it. -Thomas Jefferson Quote Link to comment
Smitherington
Maybe the cacher doesn't keep notes for his finds. That may mean that he id doing it from memory as he sits at the computer. I keep notes to my log on the computer closely matches what I write in the log book in the cache. That helps me avoid that kind of error. Quote Link to comment
DadONine
Thanks, guys. I sent him an email thanking him for finding my caches and nicely asking him to edit the logs. I didn't notice from the GC.com logging email, but he found them on 8/30 and just logged them last night. I've done that before, and if my notes are scribbled (they usually are), it's hard to decipher what I wrote several days ago. No biggie, and thanks for the suggestions. DadONine Quote Link to comment
The Irish Pirates
The same thing happened to me when I hit a couple of caches in a day.
