+Land Surveyor 1
I own a Magellan 315 but the display resolution is in decimal miles. I recently toyed around with a friends Magellan Meridian Gold and was pleased to see the display jump to feet when I got close. I am now spoiled and am looking to upgrade. Do the garmins all display in feet or is there a unit I should avoid? Thanks in advance for your replies. Land Surveyor 1 Quote Link to comment
+Capt. Jack & 1st Mate
Most of the GPS'rs have a mode to change it to your preferance. Quote Link to comment
+Capt. Jack & 1st Mate
Oh, wait a minute. Are you talking about it showing .05 miles (or so) and then switches too 500 ft.? if so, this is normal. Quote Link to comment
+CrimsonWrath
Your best bet for finding this information will be their website, Garmin. I've got an eTrex Vista and it does have the feature. Good luck in your hunt! Quote Link to comment
+Prime Suspect
All Garmin models introduced since SA was turned off have this feature. "Don't mess with a geocacher. We know all the best places to hide a body." Quote Link to comment
+TerraTrekkers
My Mag 315 changes to feet at .1 miles. Do you have the latest firmware? Version 3.15 is whats in mine. If not go to the magellam web site to upgade. TerraTrekkers =[]==[8)]= Jim & Deb Quote Link to comment
+EScout
The Meridian and Legend both go to feet when under .10 mile, when you are approaching a waypoint. Projecting a waypoint is similar, but the Meridian is more versatile, such as allowing yards up to a mile. Quote Link to comment
OuttaHand
Both my Garmin 76 and my Rino 120 switch to feet as soon as they hit .1 miles. You definitely want this feature for caching! Quote Link to comment
