MudSucker
Does Expert GPS use microsoft terraserver for it's aerial maps? Thanks!! Quote Link to comment
+Lil Devil
From the About ExpertGPS screen: TopoGrafix would like to thank the Microsoft TerraServer team and the USGS for providing the topographic maps and aerial imagery in ExpertGPS. That pretty much answers your question, I think. Lil Devil Quote Link to comment
MudSucker
It sure does- thanks. Are there any other maps available to the public in CA, that are sharper? Quote Link to comment
+SpongeRob
If there are I'd sure like to know. I can't conceive how much work it must have been to put the existing set together. The thought of a more accurate one would seem to be cost prohibitive in creating. Granted the USGS has deep pockets but I can't imagine that deep. -- SpongeRob rwmech@keenpeople.com www.keenpeople.com WPWU826 Cache'n Retrievers Quote Link to comment
+kenk
The National Geographic topo maps are higher resolution scans, but, of course, they cost more. Quote Link to comment
+Poindexter
Check out GEM, it uses up to date color aerial photo's from Globexplorer. The ones for my neighborhood are less than a year old. Quote Link to comment
MudSucker
Specifically I work a lot on rivers in CA, and I'd like to juxtapose my waypoints which contain various survey data onto a clear aerial map- Microsoft terraserver just isn't working well. Other than Arc View do I have any other options? I totally appreciate any input on this. . Thanks~ Quote Link to comment
