It's usually 100 ft. if I turn it on indoors. As long as it's properly calibrated to the current barometric pressure, yes. Right now, my vista is on ... it reads the correct elevation for my house and it matches the current Weather Channel pressure of 30.06 for the airport 3 miles from my house. (Proof positive that the "autocalibrate" feature does its job.) It's fun to compare the "gps" and barometric elevations while hiking ... I usually find them to be within 50 feet; just like most cache coordinates! Quote
+Faderaven Posted January 13, 2003 Author Posted January 13, 2003 The barometer is correct the altimeter is 40 feet off. Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore Quote
