Breezeway
Does anyone know of a utility that will convert S&T routes to Garmin routes? thanx Quote Link to comment
Breezeway
After some fiddling, I found a relatively easy way to export routes and waypoints from Streets and Trips to Mapsource. 1) Design a route in S&T and save 2) Use freeware GPS Utility to open 3) Change save options to PCX5 and save the data as a route (rte) file. 4) Import the rte file into Mapsource and voila. For Canada, Streets and Trips has far more city detail than Mapsource does, so being able to get detailed routes from S&T to Mapsource helps me quite a bit for car travel. Quote Link to comment
phantom4099
Seems it only has the start, end, and any stops in the data. Are you getting it so it is more detailed? Wyatt W. The probability of someone watching you is directly proportional to the stupidity of your actions. Quote Link to comment
Breezeway
That has been my experience too. It comes into Mapsource as a route, but only with the bare essentials for details. What other details would you be looking for? Quote Link to comment
phantom4099
Well if I create a starting point, and an ending point in another area and transfer it to GPS Utility it just has those two points. But S&T will have other detail as "drive till you get this road and turn", I wish that the point in which you turn would be transfered to the GPS (like routes from mapblast.com when sent to a magellan GPSr).
