+ClydeE
Hi all, Geo2ozi Version 2.06 is now ready for download Changes this update: Tips on start up Waypoint Generation from Offline View. PDA support (HTML generation like “GPX Spinner”) Optimized calculation of distance and bearing, now 4-6 times quicker Added GPX file association support Added Drag and drop support Added state column to offline view and filter. Better International support for date and decimal point formats Fixed bug that caused unmatched placed caches if the geo name contained “&” Fixed bug that caused fatal error when calculating distance (only if your International setting was other than English) Tips On Start up Some useful hints for using geo2ozi that you may not know or have forgotton. You have the option to disable these hints Waypoint Generation from Offline View You can now generate an OziExplorer WPT file from the offline view. Only the caches shown in the offline view will be generated. This means you can set a filter of your required caches, then generate a WPT file. This feature will allow you to update the offline database with just 1 file from geocaching.com, then you can use geo2ozi to “slice and dice” as many ways as you like. PDA support (HTML generation like “GPX spinner”) You can now generate HTML files and summary Indexes from the offline view. Only caches shown in the offline view will be generated – slice and dice your HTML output by first setting a filter. GPX file association support You can now associate GPX files with geo2ozi (a prompt will display with this question on first run after install). This will allow you to just double click on any GPX file and geo2ozi will fire up, with this file already input in the "GPX file to Convert" box. Drag and drop support Geo2ozi now supports drag and drop in two ways. You can now drag a file on to the geo2ozi desktop icon and geo2ozi will fire up with this file already input in the "GPX file to Convert" box. If you have already started Geo2ozi, then you can just drag the file on to the main screen. You can drag the file from windows explorer or directly from most email clients (Outlook is one known exception – though outlook express is ok). I have also tried to make this a "smart" drag and drop by allowing for zip files. I figure most people will be using geo2ozi with a GPX file that has been zipped up (geocaching.com and roblisa provide the file this way). So if you drag a zip file, Geo2ozi will automatically unzip the file into it's installation folder, and input the unzipped file in the "GPX file to Convert" box. This should save you having to do the dance of unzipping etc etc. Added State Column For those that geocache in multiple states. You can now load all your GPX files into the offline database and let geo2ozi “slice and dice” as required. +Goodguys
This is one sweet program. We use OziExplorer a lot, and really like this integration. Well done, and thank you! Quote Link to comment
+ClydeE
Hi all, Geo2ozi Version 2.07 is now available. Changes this update: 1. UTM Co-Ordinates now show on offline Html page. 2. HTML logs now include line breaks to keep the layout faithful to the gc.com pages. 3. Added “Placed By” index to Html 4. Added Distance and Bearing indexes to Html. Locations for distance and bearing are compatible with GPX spinner. If you use GPX spinner and have a reflocations.txt file, just cut and paste into geo2ozi 5. In HTML files [:-)] type sequences are now converted to the corresponding emotive icons. 6. Removed *#[“ etc characters from from the HTML name index to make them more user friendly. 7. You can now abbreviate state names (eg New South Wales = NSW). This will make offline pages less cluttered and filters easier to set. The conversion table is user configurable, so you can add/change your own. You can choose to have the conversion done on import or manually. You can also reverse the process. 8. You can now choose to have the converted waypoint name the same as the GPX file. IE if you select this option, geo2ozi will generate the file in the same folder as the GPX file and the same name as the GPX file but with the .wpt extension. 9. Added ability to set filter on caches that have travel bugs. Warning – this filter is very slow compared to the others, but it does work. The database needs a re jig to correct this. I will update in the next release. 10. Fixed problem with the status of travel bugs showing in more than one cache 11. Fixed an obscure bug where sometimes the offline sort sequence indicator got out of sync. (ie showed descending when it should have been ascending) 12. Other minor changes (more hints, better error checking) Download here http://members.iinet.net.au/~cwe/geo2ozi.htm Cheers Clyde Quote Link to comment
+ClydeE
Hi All, Geo2ozi Version 2.08 is now ready for download. Just a small update this time, changes include: 1. When setting a filter the heading of the corresponding item will be highlighted in yellow when you enter a selection different to the default settings. This makes it easier to see exactly what you have set in a filter. 2. You can now save/delete filters. This enables you to set up filters, then recall them without having to key in (and remember) the details again. If your filter includes distance or bearing information, geo2ozi also saves the current center point - when you restore the filter, that center point is also restored. If you do not (or seldom) use filters, then this update is probably not worth downloading. Download here http://members.iinet.net.au/~cwe/geo2ozi.htm Cheers Clyde Quote Link to comment
