+aakerbeere Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Hi I actually try to create a listing of type "Mystery", where i would like to save a background image of type jpg containing the coordinates as metadata (EXIF, f. ex. GPSLatitude). But apparently metadata is removed before being saved. This seems to happen as well to an image embedded in the listingtext. What can i do? thx Quote
Keystone Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I moved this thread from the Geocaching.com Website Bugs and Feature Suggestion forum to the "How do I....?" forum. OP, you can consider using one of the approved image hosting services. Quote
+aakerbeere Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 thx @Keystone How to insert jpg as background hosted on "Google Drive"? Quote
Keystone Posted January 14 Posted January 14 (edited) Use the HTML editor to specify your image to be displayed on the cache page. <img src=”https://YOUR_IMAGE_LOCATION.jpg”/> Edited January 14 by Keystone Quote
+aakerbeere Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 thx @Keystone This can be used to insert an image in the listingtext, but not for background image. The editor does not support URLs for background. Quote
Keystone Posted January 14 Posted January 14 That's correct - you cannot use an externally hosted image as a background image. This functionality was changed five years ago, as described in this Release Notes thread. 1 Quote
