Z-ordering (layering) of geocaches in the App and Browser maps

Both the geocaching app and the maps using a web browser do not seem to follow a decent Z-ordering scheme when displaying the geocaches.  Many times, events and such get buried under previously found geocaches and aren't apparent. Typically, events tend to be hosted at locations that have other caches. In my opinion, once a cache is found the layering, or Z-order should be decreased with unfound caches, events, etc. popping to the top on the map layering scheme.

I believe newer players would attend more events if the events were stacked higher over other cache types in the maps. Further, if Groundspeak really wants to encourage new players to get involved, then event caches within 50 miles of a players home location would automatically be added as a notification for ALL players, and premium members would not have to create a notification for this type of cache.

One thing that helps is to use coordinates for events that are not exactly the same as for a cache.  Make it 50 or 100 feet away.  At the event it will be clear where the people are gathered.

When you zoom in they are not on top of one another.
