+gjhimages
I upload my Wherigo 06/28/2024, and then unable to edit the Cartridge. I was able to add an image and attributes, but can not edit the details. This action worked on June 22 for another Wherigo, but this time when I Save the Cartridge Details, the website takes me to: https://www.Wherigo.com/error/err.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/cartridge/edit.aspx I tried it again today 06/30/24 with the same results. I restarted my computer, still not able to edit the Cartridge. I used Safari and also Google Chrome, with the same results. Is Wherigo.com have some broken links? It is interesting that it worked on June 22, but does not work on June 28! Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
First, be warned that you might be logged out of Wherigo.com at odd times. When you go to the edit page, make sure you're still logged in. I say this because I tried to edit a cartridge just now and ran into that problem (I got to the edit page, but "Not signed in" was where my user name is supposed to be in the top-right corner). Be sure you're not trying to include HTML or something that could be mistaken for HTML in any of the text boxes. Thank you for including the error link because it has the URL of the page that produced the error that cut down on my other questions. If the above doesn't solve your problem, we'll need to get specific. Quote Link to comment
+gjhimages
I am logged in. I have only tried to placed the Author Name! I also try to change the estimated time to complete, and the Country, but unable to place the State. I also only change the estimated time and clicked Save Cartridge Details. Again it takes me to https://www.Wherigo.com/error/err.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/cartridge/edit.aspx Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
Try saving your cartridge without making any edits (and clear the logging checkbox). After that, try to make one edit at a time. This is what I'd do to see where it gets hung up. Failing that, please provide the values you're trying to change and I'll see if I can reproduce anything in a test cartridge listing I have. +gjhimages
I rewrote the Long Description via a text file, so it would not have any HTML. That fixed the problem. Thanks so much for your help Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
Good to see you got it figured out in about half an hour from your first post. Quote Link to comment
+gjhimages
When I was uploading the Wherigo Cartridge, GWZ file, I had the same issue, and thought that the problem was the title as it had (parentheses) in the name. Then thought it might be caused from Safari, so upload it via Google Chrome. I hate to say that I uploaded more then a couple of the same cartridge in My Home, so I have some extra cartridges that I cannot delete! Next time, I will look and see if the upload cartridge was actually taken!!! Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
You could always reuse the existing listings when you make a new cartridge. This would cut down on the number of listings you can't delete but aren't using in your My Home section. 1 Quote Link to comment
+gjhimages
That is a good idea. I know that I might need to make an alternate site at some time, so I will reuse one of those listing. And also for another Wherigo, I will use one of this e listing as you suggested. Thanks for the suggestion. No matter what, I keep learning something new from the pros. Thanks again.
