+Lassitude Posted June 23, 2002 Posted June 23, 2002 Just to let you folks who have Mapsource software from Garmin the 4.09 is available for download. I don't think it is a very impressive upgrade but it's free if you own it. Thanks Chris LASSITUDE- (noun) Tiredness and apathy: a state of weariness accompanied by listlessness or apathy[15th century. Via French from Latin lassitudo , from lassus 'weary'.] Quote
+jeremyp Posted June 24, 2002 Posted June 24, 2002 I've read the release notes and it seems like a maintenance upgrade. There's quite a long list of bug fixes (since 4.06) so it's probably worth getting. ------- jeremyp The second ten million caches were the worst too. http://www.jeremyp.net/geocaching Quote
+Chris n Maria Posted June 24, 2002 Posted June 24, 2002 Now this wins my Hack of the year award: "Change: Removed fragment of map template from northern Minnesota area so that MapSource did report an error when viewing data in this area. +jeremyp Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 I saw that about Minesota. I'm waiting for "remove fragment of map to the west of the River Severn because the inhabitants have no sense of humour" Ha, ha if anybody tries to flame me for being racist it'll just prove my point Seriously though, the release notes seem to be automatically generated from their change control system otherwise each set would not have the comment "change version number from 4.0.x to 4.0.x+1" ------- jeremyp The second ten million caches were the worst too. http://www.jeremyp.net/geocaching Quote

LazyLeopard Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 Anyone figured out how to stop it plotting blobs at every track-point? I'm sure it's blindingly obvious, 'cos if it was a bit obscure I'd have been able to find it... Purrs... LazyLeopard http://www.lazyleopard.org.uk Quote

+Lassitude Posted June 29, 2002 Author Posted June 29, 2002 Lazy Leopard This only started happening when I upgraded to 4.0.8(Beta). I think it may be an 'Enhancement' from 4.0.8 onwards. Don't think you can do much about it (apart from downgrading). Chris LASSITUDE- (noun) Tiredness and apathy: a state of weariness accompanied by listlessness or apathy[15th century.
