+Y715UJU Posted July 12, 2023 Share Posted July 12, 2023 Hello, Dark mode is available in many apps now. Personally I find it easier on the eyes, but it also has one big benefit - battery life. If you’re using a phone with an AMOLED or OLED display, the display creates black parts of an image by turning off that part of the display. The more black in the image, the less power the display uses. Geocaching can be pretty power hungry as it requires lots of screen usage, often in bright sunlight. So, wouldn’t it make sense to have a dark mode available in the geocaching app? 2 1 Quote Link to comment
