moosebreeder1
Hi everyone, I am wondering if there are any geocachers in the Rotorua (New Zealand) area who may be able to take over a geocache that I placed near Waimangu Thermal Valley? I now live in Australia, and had originally thought that I would be able to get back to Waimangu periodically. However this has not been the case. Thus, I am wondering if someone would be able to take over ownership of cache GC2XY0G (Why Waimangu) or at least check on it every so often? Apparently at the moment it has had water in it, so it needs drying out and the water-sogged logbook replaced. Please message me if you are able to help. +Mermaid.Man
Hi there. You might want to try posting on Facebook rather than here. This forum group only gets a couple of posts each year. There is certainly a geocaching New Zealand group, and I'm pretty sure that there is a Bay of Plenty group. Alternatively you could try posting a "write note" log on your cache page seeking someone to adopt your cache. I'm in Welly myself so I can't help you I'm afraid. Or else just archive your cache of course. It's not as if there's a shortage of them. Edited February 19, 2023 by Mermaid.Man 1 Quote Link to comment
