Friend Request message not showing in E-mail Notification

Yeserday I have received a friend request which appeared in Gmail as send without any special message provided by fellow geocacher. But after clicking on link to Approve or Deny this request, I got a message written by that user with some important information with badly encoded special characters (in my country, we use a lot of characters with accents). Unfortunately, I don't have the screenshot of that message, since I have already approved that request.

 

I have simulated the same behavior with my testing account. Message in Gmail appears as this:

 

 

Inspection of this part of message in Gmail shows only empty blockquote tag:

 

 

 

When the request is opened trough email link, message is available with really bad readability, due to escaped characters (I've tried to use a sample with a lot of accents):

 

 

E-mail was sent trough "Send e-mail" feature in my personal profile, along with "Send Friend Request" checked checkbox.
