Yeserday I have received a friend request which appeared in Gmail as send without any special message provided by fellow geocacher. But after clicking on link to Approve or Deny this request, I got a message written by that user with some important information with badly encoded special characters (in my country, we use a lot of characters with accents). Unfortunately, I don't have the screenshot of that message, since I have already approved that request. I have simulated the same behavior with my testing account. Message in Gmail appears as this: Inspection of this part of message in Gmail shows only empty blockquote tag: When the request is opened trough email link, message is available with really bad readability, due to escaped characters (I've tried to use a sample with a lot of accents): E-mail was sent trough "Send e-mail" feature in my personal profile, along with "Send Friend Request" checked checkbox. I'm pretty aware of privacy issues on the web these days, so I always deny all unnecessary analytics when asked. For the Geocaching.com site I have unchecked all non-required scripts on the popup and saved my preferences. But now, when I try to visit my Dashboard (/account/dashboard), page hangs on load raising errors in the browser's console. Crash happens in dashboard javascript code, which requires Google Tag Manager script to be loaded. I have two issues with this: Geocaching.com site obviously ignores my privacy choice, since I am pretty sure about my preference of disabling all marketing and analytics usage of my data when asked on popup window. First error in my console raised by adblocker (acually, it's more of tracking script blocker), actively preventing load of Google Tag Manager (improved and more privacy intrusive Google Analytics script, capable of tracking every action taken on page). This script should not be loaded on the first place, when user have opted out of analytics. There is some coding error with dashboard javascript code, which makes Account Dashboard unusable when the Google Tag Manager tracking code is not loaded and functioning. That puts me into position, where I have to provide access for Google to track my usage on websites (I won't) in order to get Geocaching site functioning like intended. I would really appreciate a fix for this issue, since dashboard is my first page to look here on Geocaching.com.

I'm experiencing same problem for about a year or two. Contacted support once and got canned reply explaining they are not able to do anything and I should try again later. Pretty disappointing. I had to make another account for downloading and creating Wherigo caches.

HP have been sending e-mails about upcoming changes since January. This is the one I've got in January 25th: And this one on July 2nd: Also, Reveal Studio was disabled for creators (owners) in April.. so no surprise about this happen..

For a many attemps today I'm expecting "Something went wrong with the image upload" error when trying to upload image for non-published geocache listing (as owner). Screenshot attached.

After new edit cache page showed up, classic waypoints management page for cache listing disappeared and was replaced with unified edit interface. But when creating waypoints for cache (ie. multi) while creating listing at first (trough Hide a cache wizard), every waypoint get its own Prefix and Lookup. While only Prefix is editable. (side issue, I think..) But when trying to add more waypoints later when using Edit listing page, added waypoints doesn't get any Lookup code and there is no way to add it later. (main issue)

User dashboard doesn't keep choice of last activity type. I've had opened it as Community view, switched to Your hides to see recent logs on my owned caches and navigated to one of logs. After using back button on my browser to navigate back to the Dashboard, it loads Community logs but switch title is shown as "Owner". (So title remembers I've switched it to other view, but content does not follow it.)

There is an "old" page with archived profile pictures in user account (https://www.geocaching.com/my/photo.aspx). After last update to users profile and cover photos, uploading new profile picture does not store old profile picture on this gallery so old pictures disappears permanently.

When I try to upload picture with transparent background (gif or png) for geocache, log or profile picture, it gets processed with white background on geocaching.com website, resulting image is transformed into broken state. For example, when trying to make white information for listing where dark background is used, all content disappears (because of lack of transparent background).

I've been browsing geocaching.com as usual when suddenly got logged out from my account and can't log in back. When using username & password combination nothing happens and when trying to log in using facebook acc. I got an error saying "An unexpected error occurred. Please check your data and try again."

When browsing Latest Activity on new Dashboard, I notice that wrong icon (archived) is show for "Will attend" logs of me & my friends. Just a cosmetic issue, but it seems too negative that someone wants to attend some event and get this icon

You are using a wrong example. That event have correctly published coords and date, only "mystery" is just the time of event. So listing requirements are met and if you don't want to find the other caches, you can wait all day long on place... And you can be sure that in one moment the others shows up and you can join them. Just like owner described in mentioned listing. I think, there is a way - publish event with all information included but restrict logging only for cachers who done specified tasks. It's like on tourist events: logging is only for cachers who done whole trace etc..

I'm waiting for PQ's created a day ago... Something is wrong...

I've used My finds query more than a week ago but see this button disabled with status: "Last Generated (PST): Never (No Finds)" What's wrong?
